Fiber modelocked lasers produce very short pulses of light that can be used for
accurate measurement of time and frequency. However, these lasers possess some
uncertainty with respect to their optimal operating parameters. Hence proper
modeling is crucial. We model a number of fiber lasers at the National
Institute for Standards and Technology. Our simulations will aid our
experimental collaborators in optimizing the settings and maximizing
performance.
