Our objective is to develop a GPU-based real-time patient dose reconstruction framework and to produce
an intuitive decision-support graphical user interface to be embedded in the clinical workflow. Prior to the
treatment, patient's anatomy geometry will be acquired using the in-room imaging technology and
uploaded to a high performance GPU cluster. Both the patient/tumor motion and the beam delivery will be
continuously tracked during the treatment and this information will be updated in real time for the 4D
dose reconstruction. By the end of the treatment delivery, a decision would be made based on the
difference between the reconstructed dose and the planned dose. The proposed work will ensure the
safety and the quality of patients' treatment.
