Retrieving dust heights using AIRS

Thermal IR instruments such as AIRS are sensitive to both the height and
optical thickness of aerosol dust. By comparing retrieved optical depths
at various placings of a dust layer, against the aerosol optical
depths retrieved by MODIS, we plan to build a climatology of dust heights.
